Welcome to an opportunity to fully be present with yourself!

We all need a place to be fully known and fully honest in order to heal. Together, we can uncover the experiences that have scripted unhealthy patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships, and find a way forward with new strength, new purpose, and a healthier, more integrated you: mind, body, and spirit.

My passion is to guide you through the inner workings of your strength, pain, desires, missteps, griefs, and hopes.  I help you find your authentic experience with your emotions in a safe way, including how they show up in your body, not just your thoughts. Trauma doesn't only live in your memories; it often lives in your nervous system, your shoulders, your stomach, your breath. Making sense of what you feel, why you feel it, what to do about it, and how to move forward means learning to listen to your whole self, not just your mind.

I know what it's like to give too much of myself, to love people who couldn't love me well in return and to learn better boundaries the hard way. I've walked through burnout, grief, and adopted a family member with severe behavioral issues. My husband and I have had to work through hard seasons in our marriage and appreciated good couples counseling! My husband spent ten years as a pastor, so I understand the unique pressure of ministry life.  I can sit with pastors and their families without judgment or the fear of one more person expecting them to have it all together. I also understand the confusion and pain of narcissistic abuse, and the disorientation that comes with religious trauma, when the very things meant to bring you closer to God or to healthy love left you feeling smaller, silenced, or afraid. I know how hard this work can feel, because I've done my own and I still do.

I'm a graduate of Liberty University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, a Nationally Board Certified Counselor, and a Certified Trauma Professional. My approach is trauma-informed and integrates evidence-based methods like CBT, IFS, relational mapping, and somatic interventions which are body-based approaches that help release trauma your body is still holding onto, even after your mind has made sense of it. I also offer biblically sound tools for those who want an integrated Christian counseling approach.

Hello and welcome to Seasons Wellness!

I believe we all need support at some point in our lives, and it is my passion to walk the healing journey with you.

I am fluent in English and Spanish, as I was born and raised in Guatemala, and have made Connecticut my home for the last 22 years.  As a first-generation immigrant, I understand the challenges of immigration, adapting to new cultures and environments, language barriers, and generational trauma.

I specialize in sexual abuse, grief and loss, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and addictive behaviors. My therapeutic approach includes trauma-focused, Adlerian, attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT),  internal family systems (IFS), and Christian counseling, all while integrating the creative process of change.

My hope is that in the therapy room you feel safe, seen, and accepted as we collaborate in your healing process.
